A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. After months of research, development and commissioning by domestic and international R&D teams, the German-imported 6.8m wide BOPET biaxial stretching production line achieved an innovative breakthrough and officially entered mass production yesterday. This marks the official launch of the Optical Film Business Division of Jiangsu Huizhi Advanced Materials, a subsidiary of Tongli Group. Mr. Zhou Yongnan, Chairman of Tongli Group, together with relevant enterprise leaders, witnessed this milestone moment.


The company’s products are widely applied in key industries including consumer electronics, 5G communication, semiconductors, new energy, automotive, construction, ceramic capacitors, medical health, energy conservation and environmental protection, AR/VR, industrial internet and artificial intelligence. Upon full capacity release, it will break the long-term foreign monopoly in China’s high-end film material sector.


MLCC release film features high technical barriers and broad domestic substitution potential. It is extensively used in smart terminals, automotive electronics, wearable devices, 5G communication base stations and other fields. In particular, its consumption in the power system of new energy vehicles is four times higher than that in traditional fuel vehicles.


The 6.8m wide German BOPET biaxial stretching production line is equipped with the world’s latest technologies and top-tier hardware configurations. Its film properties such as temperature resistance, shrinkage ratio and flatness have reached the highest industry standards. In the bright and spacious production workshop, the fully automatic production line stretching over 100 meters runs at high speed. After the sophisticated biaxial stretching process, crystal-clear polymer chips are processed into optical-grade polyester films with thickness ranging from 20μm to 125μm. At present, the company’s series of products have reached the same level as those from Japan and South Korea.
